About Outsite
Outsite is a coliving and flexible stay network for remote workers and digital nomads. Emmanuel Guisset founded the company in Santa Cruz, California in 2015, and he still leads it as founder and CEO. The idea was simple: give location independent professionals a furnished room, reliable wifi, a place to work and a ready made community in places people actually want to live. The network runs on two tiers. Signature homes are houses that Outsite designs and runs itself. Curated stays are independent properties that Outsite vets and lists for its members. Access works through a paid membership, sold as a yearly plan or a one off lifetime plan, which unlocks member rates across the network. Stays run from a few nights up to about three months, so the typical guest is a nomad or remote employee moving every few weeks rather than someone looking for a long term home. As shown on outsite.co in November 2026, Signature locations include Lisbon (Cais do Sodre), Ericeira, Madeira (Ponta do Sol), the Algarve (Sagres), Barcelona (Gothic Quarter), Mexico City (Roma Sur), Oaxaca City, Aguadilla in Puerto Rico, San Francisco (Mission) and Bali. Curated stays listed alongside them include Sofia, London (Canary Wharf), Cape Town, Weligama in Sri Lanka, Ubud and Singapore. The site also runs member events, especially across its Portuguese homes, and organised trips. It reports more than 21,000 stays hosted to date. The notable recent development is funding. In January 2026 Limestone Capital, a Zurich based private investment firm focused on consumer and experience businesses, took a minority stake in Outsite. The money is earmarked for operations, marketing and real estate development, with a separate vehicle set up to acquire properties, which points to more Outsite owned or controlled homes over time. Status: active and bookable as of November 2026. Locations change often, so check outsite.co for the live list before planning a stay.
How the hybrid model works
A hybrid operator mixes models across its portfolio, for example owning some buildings while master-leasing or managing others. This spreads risk and lets the operator move faster in new markets while still building an owned core over time.
