Mayank Pokharna

Mayank Pokharna has spent over a decade at the intersection of coliving, technology, and real estate. His journey began in 2015 when he co-founded SimplyGuest, one of India's earliest tech-enabled coliving startups. Bootstrapped from day one, SimplyGuest grew to $1M in annual recurring revenue, housed 500+ tenants, and operated across 17 locations in Bangalore — all without external funding. That hands-on experience of building a coliving business from zero gave Mayank an operator's understanding of every challenge in the shared living value chain: from property sourcing and unit design to tenant acquisition, community management, and retention.

After SimplyGuest, Mayank channeled his operational insights into technology, founding JumboTiger PMS — a property management system purpose-built for the nuances of coliving operations. Over his career, he has built or architected 5+ PMS platforms, each designed around the specific workflows that distinguish coliving from traditional rental management: shared billing, community event scheduling, maintenance ticketing across shared spaces, and flexible lease structures. He also founded Artof.Co, a design and consulting studio that helped operators translate community-first principles into physical spaces, and BookMyColiving, a discovery platform connecting tenants with verified coliving properties.

In 2020, Mayank launched Everything Coliving to solve the biggest gap he saw in the industry: operators had passion and properties, but lacked access to the specialized strategic guidance, benchmarking data, and professional tools needed to scale. Today, Everything Coliving is the leading growth platform for coliving operators worldwide — combining hands-on advisory (60+ engagements across 14+ countries), 23+ free operator tools, proprietary research from 500+ operator surveys, and the industry's largest newsletter and podcast. The platform's work has been featured in 50+ publications including Forbes, BBC, Financial Express, Inc42, and Economic Times.

Beyond his own ventures, Mayank serves as Head of Marketing for Co-Liv, a global coliving membership organization. He has managed over $2M in digital advertising spend across coliving and real estate campaigns, conducted 500+ stakeholder conversations with operators, investors, architects, and vendors, and co-organized the HMO Summit & Awards (400+ attendees). His unique combination of operator experience, technology expertise, and industry-wide perspective makes him one of the most connected and credible voices in the global coliving ecosystem.
